Hi Everyone,
I hope your week has started off with heaps of hope and an assurance that God is going to lead you through the week by His Sovereign hand. I want to urge you to mark your calendar for this coming Sunday, December 3. We are going to have a huge day that you will not want to miss. Let me just list what’s going to take place this coming Sunday at BCC.
* Sunday morning we are going to share in the baptisms of DaQuan Lee, and Gabby and Ray Ray Arechiga. We are also going to get to share with Jack and Alison Counts and their family as they dedicate their beautiful twins, Chloe and Carter, to the Lord.
* Immediatly following worship our Children’s Ministry will have a “Bake Sale” with lots of scrumptious homemade treats for everyone. All proceeds from the Bake Sale will go towards the Children’s Ministry.
* We will let you catch your breath Sunday afternoon, but you will want to come back to church for our outstanding Children’s Christmas Musical, “A Star Is Born.” Immediately following the younger children the Middle School and High School kids will present their Youth Choir/Drama and Dance Christmas Program. All of these kids have been working so hard for the past many weeks preparing for this Sunday. I want to encourage everyone to come out and join us in supporting our kids. We have the greatest group of kids in the whole world at BCC and this is our opportunity to show them how much we appreciate them.
* At 7:15 pm we will decorate our sanctuary in the “Hanging of the Greens” service. It is a short, but beautiful service explaining the significance and symbolism of the decorations for Christmas.
* Last of all, at 7:45 pm we will go to the gym for the “Tasting Bee.” I’ve been at BCC for many years and I still don’t know what “Bee’s” have to do with the great food we will be eating. Anyway, you won’t want to miss the greatest homemade finger foods and snacks that you will find anywhere. We want to encourage everyone to bring their favorite dish to share.
Let’s start the Christmas Season off right. Join us on Sunday as we worship the Lord in a variety of ways, young and old alike.
In His Steps,
Mike
