I’m Praying For You

Good Morning,
I am praying for you. I often send out emails asking you to pray for folks in our church who are going through difficult times, but today I’m writing to let you know that I am praying for you. I’m not praying for you to have strength as you endure difficult times, but I am praying for the Lord to use you to be a godly influence in the lives of those He has put into your life. We often hear how we are being negatively influenced through the media. Cultural commentators lambaste the destructive influence of music, video games, and lax morals on our kids. I see the same things they see, but I also see a power far greater than negative influence in our society–the power of one. One person who believes that he or she is being called by God to touch the lives of others for the Kingdom is a far greater influence than the negative influences taking place in our society. Think of the difference you and I could make if each of the 400 people who call Britton Christian Church home decided to allow the Lord to use us to make a difference in one person’s life today! A life could be transformed, a heart changed, a marriage reconciled, an addiction broken–all because someone responded to God’s call with “Here I am Lord send me!”
In just over one week we will celebrate Easter–the single greatest event in the history of the world. One life given and a world changed! One Man surrendered to God and countless lives transformed. In this broken world in which we live there are countless people in our city who never frequent the church, but Easter Sunday is the one day of the year that they are more willing to go to church than any other, if someone will invite them. I am praying that you will be in prayer today. Ask the Lord to put people you know on your heart who do not know the Lord. Ask the Lord to give you the courage to invite them to go to church with you on Easter Sunday. You will be amazed what will happen if you will step out of your comfort zone and allow the Lord to use you.
In His Steps,
Mike
