Sunday, December 7 is going to a great day at Britton Christian Church! We are going to break ground on our “Making Room For Our Neighbors! Education Building Project.” I’m grateful for so many people who are making this historic project possible for us. There’s been a group of people from our church who have been working and planning for the day, there have been people who have already given money or pledged to give money over the next 2-3 years toward the project, and there have been many who have diligently prayed for the Lord’s leading in our project.
The new Education Building will give us many new classrooms to have Bible studies throughout the week. The new Children’s Ministry area is going to be so nice, super secure, and enable us to minister to many more children in the months and years to come. Our Middle and High School Youth will have the entire basement for youth activities as well as serve as home for The BCC Learning Center. For us “older” members of the BCC family our current space will be totally renovated and we will get brand new, spacious bathrooms, and an incredible “gathering area.”
I’m excited about the project because we are building education space. I told our leaders, “If you want to try to impress folks then build a fancy new sanctuary. We’re not trying to impress anyone. We just want to teach more and more people God’s Word. So build more room to enable us to teach God’s Word to people of all ages.” I hope you will put Sunday, December 7, on your calendar and make every effort to join us as we celebrate what God is doing at Britton Christian Church.
